Waga Energy doubles its biomethane production capacity

Waga Energy announces the opening of an industrial facility in Isère, aiming to double the production of its WAGABOX® units, as part of its international expansion. This development is part of a seven-country growth strategy, with the aim of accelerating the energy transition.
Founded in 2015, Waga Energy uses patented WAGABOX® technology to recover methane from waste storage sites. The company has deployed 31 biomethane production plants in France and internationally, with an installed capacity of 1.5 TWh/year.
With the help of partners such as Ravanat, Waga Energy is strengthening its industrial capacity while preserving its technological sovereignty. This expansion is accompanied by a significant growth in its workforce, increasing from 15 to 300 employees between 2017 and 2025.
