Worldline sells its Indian payment business to BillDesk
Worldline, a leading European payment services provider, has announced the sale of its Indian payment business to BillDesk for approximately €60 million. This strategic move aims to refocus Worldline on its core operations in Europe.
A technology agreement will accompany this sale, with BillDesk continuing to use Worldline's software. This partnership ensures business continuity in India, one of the fastest-growing payment markets. Worldline thus maintains its commitment to India, particularly through its strategic competence centers.
The transaction, expected to close in the second half of 2026, should strengthen Worldline's financial flexibility. The total value of the pending disposals is between €540 million and €590 million.
