W&W Group Reports Improved Half-Year Results in 2026
The Wüstenrot & Württembergische Group (W&W) reported an increase in its first-half results for 2026. Consolidated net income rose to €105 million under IFRS, up from €91 million in the same period last year. Despite a challenging market environment, the group sees itself well-positioned for the full year.
Key areas of growth include Württembergische’s property/casualty insurance, which maintained resilience amid external pressures. The motor insurance and personal banking segments also saw growth of approximately 3% and just under 4%, respectively. Life and health insurance continued to contribute positively, with increases in total premiums from new business.
The W&W Group maintained strong financial health, with equity rising to €5,008 million. Standard & Poor's affirmed its ratings with a stable outlook. The group expects a consolidated IFRS net income of €120 to €150 million for 2026, subject to economic developments and market trends.
