ZCCM-IH Announces Leadership Change and New CEO Appointment
ZCCM Investments Holdings Plc (ZCCM-IH), listed on the Lusaka Securities Exchange, has announced a significant change in its leadership structure. Mr. Kakenenwa Muyangwa, previously a Non-Executive Director and Board Chairperson, has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective June 6, 2025. This follows his retirement as Chairperson on June 5, 2025.
Mr. Muyangwa brings over 35 years of expertise in business strategy, transaction negotiations, and metals trading. His resume includes senior roles at prominent mining and financial institutions in Zambia and beyond. The Board expressed confidence in his leadership to achieve ZCCM-IH's strategic objectives.
During this transition, Mr. Mubita Akapelwa will assume duties as the acting Chairperson. Appreciation was extended to the outgoing CEO, Mr. Tisa Chama, for his dedication and service.
