QuadAlliance Formed to Boost Holographic Windshield Display Production
ZEISS, renowned for optics and photonics, has announced the establishment of a QuadAlliance with tesa, Saint-Gobain Sekurit, and Hyundai Mobis. This alliance aims to expedite the mass production of Holographic Windshield Displays (HWD) for automotive OEMs. The collaboration integrates domain expertise in concept design, HOE mastering, automotive lamination, and system integration, offering a streamlined supply chain solution.
The innovative HWD acts as a smart, transparent interface, enhancing in-car information visibility and cockpit design while addressing energy efficiency concerns. Key features include a large, transparent display, design flexibility, superior brightness, and future-ready performance. The alliance plans to commence mass production by 2029, ensuring compliance with automotive quality standards.
ZEISS, with its leadership in HOE development, aims through this collaboration to transform HWD industrialization by harnessing the combined strengths of the partners. OEMs retain the choice to adopt their preferred supply chain models.
