Zero Point Motion Names Pascal Langlois as New Chair
Zero Point Motion, a startup specializing in silicon photonics sensor technology, has appointed Pascal Langlois as its new Chair. Langlois brings significant executive experience from the global semiconductor and photonics sectors, vital for driving the company's focus on next-generation positioning and navigation sensors.
Langlois previously co-founded and chaired Scintil Photonics and led Tronics Microsystems to an IPO on the Euronext and a trade sale to TDK Group. He has also held senior positions at companies like ST-Ericsson and Philips Semiconductors.
This leadership shift follows a £4 million pre-series A funding round. Zero Point Motion is developing innovative sensor architectures that integrate silicon photonics for ultra-sensitive accelerometers and gyroscopes. These innovations aim to enhance performance in environments lacking GPS.
Langlois expressed enthusiasm for joining Zero Point Motion, highlighting the potential to redefine precision sensing in spaces like robotics and drones by combining silicon photonics with MEMS technology.
