ZOE and Octopus Energy Forge Strategic Partnership for China's Smart Energy Future
Shanghai ZOE Energy Storage and Octopus Energy have signed a Strategic Cooperation Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to advance China's virtual power plant (VPP) initiatives. The partnership aims to blend ZOE's local expertise in VPP services with Octopus Energy's global experience in clean energy and digital technologies.
ZOE, a leading VPP service provider in China, has licenses across multiple provinces. The company brings comprehensive capabilities in investment, construction, trading, and operations. Octopus Energy, serving 11 million households worldwide, will contribute its field-proven AI algorithms and expertise in renewable energy asset management.
The collaboration seeks to develop a smart energy ecosystem in China. A joint working group will explore feasibility, compliance, and business strategies. This initiative targets enhanced returns on distributed assets and integration with Chinese grid regulations, marking a pivotal step in energy digital cooperation.
