ZPMC Showcases Engineering Prowess at Media Open Day

Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries (ZPMC) recently held a media open day at its Nantong facility, highlighting its expertise in marine engineering and steel bridge manufacturing. Journalists explored the company's key sites, including the Innovation Exhibition Center and workshops focused on steel structure production. Visitors witnessed the integration of automated technologies such as robotic welding and Building Information Modeling (BIM) in their processes.

A key highlight was the world's largest offshore converter station positioned at the quayside. This station, crucial for an offshore wind power project, is set to deliver 7.7 billion kilowatt-hours of clean electricity annually. Its onshore assembly, transport, and installation underscore the advancements in deep-water engineering.

ZPMC's facility has an impressive steel production capacity, enabling it to contribute to landmark projects like the San Francisco–Oakland Bay Bridge and the Pelješac Bridge. The company remains committed to expanding its role in steel bridge and offshore wind power projects.
