Ascentivelab Group Expands Into the UK, Europe and Asia as Family Office Capital Broadens Beyond US Markets

New York, USA, September 9th, 2026, FinanceWire

Ascentivelab Group, a New York-based private capital markets firm, announced an expansion of its investor coverage into the United Kingdom, Europe and Asia, following a documented shift in how large private families are positioning capital across regions.

The shift is pronounced. UBS reported in its 2026 Global Family Office Report that 60 percent of family offices plan to change their strategic asset allocation within twelve months, the highest level the survey has recorded. North America still accounts for the largest share of allocations, but families outside the United States are working to reduce concentration risk, with planned increases in exposure to Asia Pacific, Greater China and Western Europe. Sixty-five percent of respondents expect confidence in the US dollar's reserve status to weaken, prompting broader multi-currency positioning.

The map of the industry has moved with it. Deloitte Private counts 3,180 family offices in North America, 2,290 in Asia Pacific and 2,020 in Europe. Asia Pacific has passed Europe on office count.

Ascentivelab Group's expansion is designed to work in both directions. European and Asian offices seeking North American assets gain a firm that covers those markets continuously. North American companies gain access to capital that is looking to allocate outside its home market and, in many cases, holds longer and structures more flexibly than a domestic fund operating on a defined investment period. Companies on the advisory side are generally at commercialization stage, with paying customers and contracted revenue, raising between $3 million and $30 million.

Cross-border interest is concentrated where UBS found the strongest thematic demand, including infrastructure and power and resources. That maps directly onto the firm's coverage of digital infrastructure and data centers and of energy and project finance, alongside technology, healthcare, industrials, business and financial services, defense and military technology, and biotechnology, medical technology and life sciences. The firm also works on specialized privately held assets, including real estate positions, private collections and art holdings, where cross-border ownership is common and processes are negotiated rather than marketed.

Expansion in this business is measured in relationships rather than offices. Each new investor relationship is recorded at the level of check size, capital structure, sector, stage, control preference, hold period, currency and jurisdiction, so that a mandate is matched against criteria rather than distributed by region. The firm continues to accept a limited number of mandates at any one time.

"Opening an office in London or Singapore is not coverage," said Deepesh Shivnani, Managing Partner at Ascentivelab Group. "Coverage means a principal takes the call because the last three things the firm sent were worth reading. That is built one relationship at a time, and that is what is being extended here, not a footprint."

According to company records, Ascentivelab Group carries between $100 million and $400 million in active sell-side and capital raising mandates at any given time, alongside origination mandates from family offices and adjacent investor groups in the hundreds of millions. The firm has advised on transactions representing more than $1 billion in aggregate transaction volume. Active mandates represent capital markets engagements currently being worked on by the firm. They do not represent completed transactions, capital raised, committed investment capital or guaranteed financing outcomes.
