[Cyber City, Mauritius, 03/30/23] BEX Mauritius Block Exchange (BEX) announced today that the Financial Services Commission (FSC) Mauritius certified that BEX Mauritius Block Exchange has been issued with a Trading Securities System Licence pursuant to Section 11 of the Securities Act 2005, the Securities (Licensing) Rules 2007 and the Financial Services (Consolidated Licensing and Fees) Rules 2008.

Effective immediately, BEX Mauritius Block Exchange operates the world’s first regulated operational security token trading platform with the Trading Securities System Licence number GB22200392, providing retail users and corporate issuers from around the world with 24/7 direct access to security token trading without intermediaries.

After the FSC granted to BEX in November 2022 the in-principle approval for a Securities Trading Systems License, the issuing of the license required the regulator to amend the Guidance Notes on Security Token Offerings and Security Token Trading Systems, enabling a Securities Trading System licensed under Section 11 of the Securities Act to hold custody of Security Tokens. This amendment was completed and published on March 15, 2023, allowing the FSC to officially issue its first-ever Securities Trading Systems License under the Mauritius Securities Act of 2005 to Mauritius Block Exchange for operating a security token trading platform.

BEX is now open for business and ready to onboard exciting new and established companies with a simple listing process to access the global capital markets. New issuers on BEX get their shares traded as security tokens on a regulated security token trading platform, with no custody fees, low trading fees, low listing fees, and unlimited 24/7 trading access without intermediaries.
