BR Labs, Founded by Revaz Shmertz, Announces Rebrand from BRRR DAO

The research and engineering company transitions its public work under the BR Labs name, while BRRRolver retains its established product name

Beyond Research Labs LLC (BR Labs) announced its rebrand from BRRR DAO to BR Labs. Research and engineering continued throughout the transition, and work published under both names forms one continuing body of work.

According to Revaz (Rezo) Shmertz, co-founder and Managing Partner of BR Capital and founder of BR Labs, "DAO" in BRRR DAO described how the team started, but it did not reflect the work of the lab that runs BRRRolver, production solver infrastructure in CoW Protocol auctions, and publishes the research behind it. 

CoW Protocol groups signed trading intents into auctions in which independent solvers compete to produce a settlement, and BRRRolver participates in that process as operating infrastructure. It was announced live on Base on September 4, 2025. In January 2026, BR Labs reported that BRRRolver had surpassed $100 million in total volume during its first months on Base. BRRRolver has since expanded to the Ethereum mainnet.

BR Labs’ published work on CoW Protocol examines developer incentives, solver competition, auction and reward mechanisms, and the relationship between requests for quote and intents. Beyond CoW Protocol, the company publishes research on institutional digital-asset infrastructure and the Ethereum protocol development.

BR Labs maintains a strict separation between open quantitative research and production-grade execution systems, deploying software live only where clear market applications exist. 

BR Labs publishes current company updates through @brlabsxyz and current research through brlabsxyz.substack.com. Earlier work issued under the BRRR DAO name remains part of the company's public record.

BRRRolver retains its established product name; the company and its broader research program use BR Labs.

Shmertz emphasized that rebranding did not impact ongoing operations, with the BRRRolver dashboard remaining open and continuous throughout.
