PRESS RELEASE

Dallas C. Salazar Announces Formation of Two Texas Presidents, a Family Office Built on Natural-Gas Holdings

Austin, TX, USA, October 13th, 2026, FinanceWire

Dallas C. Salazar, founder and managing member of Two Texas Presidents, at the Texas State Capitol in Austin.

Capital from the Haynesville, Utica and Marcellus will fund operating businesses and long-duration real assets, with a five-year focus on convenience retail, fuel retail, fuel distribution and the real estate beneath them. E.F. Hutton is financial advisor.

Dallas C. Salazar has announced the formation of Two Texas Presidents, a family office established as the permanent home for the Salazar family’s investment activities. Capitalized by the family’s natural-gas portfolio, the Austin-based family office will redeploy returns from existing holdings into new operating businesses and long-duration hard assets for the next generation.

The family office is built on Salazar’s years investing across the American hydrocarbon industry, with exposure to the Haynesville, Utica and Marcellus. Led by the family’s Haynesville interests, that portfolio now serves as the financial engine behind Two Texas Presidents.

Unlike a conventional private-equity fund, Two Texas Presidents does not raise or invest third-party capital, allowing it to pursue operating businesses and real assets over a longer horizon, free of the fundraising cycles and exit timetables of traditional funds.

“Natural gas has been an extraordinary financial engine for our family, and I don’t view that engine as something we’re walking away from. Quite the opposite. The success and growth of those investments have given us a much larger capital base today, and with that comes both the opportunity and, in my view, the responsibility to broaden where we put that capital to work. The formation of Two Texas Presidents is really about that next phase: taking what we’ve built in hydrocarbons and using it as the foundation for a more diversified collection of operating businesses and long-term assets that we can continue building across generations.” — Dallas C. Salazar, Managing Member, Two Texas Presidents

Salazar’s history in the Haynesville long predates Two Texas Presidents. His involvement with Comstock Resources was documented by Reuters during the company’s $1.1 billion acquisition of Covey Park in 2019, a deal that made the combined company the Haynesville’s largest operator at the time.

Two Texas Presidents has already extended the family’s investment activity beyond hydrocarbons, providing strategic capital in the acquisition of Dart Transit Group, a major transportation and logistics business whose history dates to 1934. Salazar’s next major focus is the consumer end of the energy economy.

“My focus over the next five years is increasingly going to be downstream, particularly around convenience retail, fuel retail, fuel distribution and the land underneath that infrastructure. We’re interested in owning both the operating businesses and the real estate that supports them. I think there’s a particularly compelling opportunity at the intersection of fuel, convenience and strategically located real estate, and that’s where I expect to spend a significant amount of my time and where we’re prepared to put substantial family capital to work.” — Dallas C. Salazar

The family’s hydrocarbon portfolio remains central to that strategy, its role evolving from a source of returns into the capital base for what comes next. E.F. Hutton serves as financial advisor to Two Texas Presidents, which also maintains a relationship with Goldman Sachs & Co.
