Edenred successfully raises €800 million in a
dual-tranche bond offering
Edenred announces that it successfully issued on October 27 a €300m 2-year floating-rate note and a €500m 7.25-year fixed-rate bond.
The floating-rate note will mature on 3 November 2028 with a coupon of three-month Euribor plus 75bp. The 7.25-year bond is due 3 February 2034, with an annual coupon of 4.75%. This dual- tranche issue received solid demand from a high-quality international base of investors, highlighting Edenred’s credit standing.
The proceeds from this transaction will provide financing for general corporate purposes, including repayment of upcoming bond maturities.
This transaction strengthens the Group’s liquidity and financial structure while extending the average maturity of its bond debt to 4.4 years (after repayment of the December 2026 and March 2027 bonds).
Virginie Duperat-Vergne, Executive Vice President, Finance, said: “Edenred demonstrated once again its capacity to access the debt capital markets on different types of maturities and from a wide range of international bond investors. This €800m dual-tranche strengthens Edenred’s financial profile while contributing to the roll-out of the Amplify25-28 strategic plan.”
Edenred is rated A- with a stable outlook by Standard & Poor’s.
BNP Paribas, JPMorgan and Société Générale acted as global coordinators. BofA Securities, Citi, HSBC, ING and Santander acted as joint active bookrunners.
