Indonesia’s structural steel market continues to expand alongside the acceleration of high-value infrastructure projects driven by both the public and private sectors. However, many construction companies still face logistical challenges and cost volatility due to their reliance on imported heavy structural steel profiles, such as structural H Beams.

The domestic structural steel market is projected to continue growing significantly. According to IMARC Group, Indonesia’s steel market reached USD 12.98 billion in 2025 and is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 3.08%. Meanwhile, the structural steel profile segment is projected to exceed USD 6.58 billion by 2030, driven by sustained government infrastructure spending.

This growth is supported by a pipeline of national strategic projects, including large-scale bridge networks, the Trans-Sumatra and Trans-Kalimantan toll roads, high-speed rail corridors, new ports in Eastern Indonesia, and the ongoing development of Indonesia’s new capital city, Nusantara (IKN).

The company's product line includes full size configurations of H Beams, Wide Flange (WF) beams, structural channels (UNP), and equal angles with standardized under SNI Bj P 400 (mild steel), Bj P 490 and Bj P 540 (high tensile) compliance frameworks. These products are manufactured in various dimensions in accordance with SNI BjPHC 400 and JIS G3101 SS400 standards. To improve on-site efficiency, GYS also offers value-added fabrication services directly from its manufacturing facility, including cold sawing, precision drilling, bending, and slotting.

A primary technical advancement within GYS’s portfolio is its domestic production of high tensile, earthquake resistant steel. Marketed as Baja Tahan Gempa PLUS (Seismic Grade Steel), this specialized product features a yield strength of 345 MPa. Its high ductility enables structural systems to absorb and dissipate seismic energy more effectively, reducing the risk of sudden structural failure. Complying with SNI 9150:2023 as well as international standards JIS G3136 SN400B, SN490B, and ASTM A572 Grade 50, it is the first domestically produced high-grade structural steel profile of its kind in Indonesia and has the potential to deliver structural cost savings of up to 20 percent compared to conventional steel.

GYS’s products have been utilized across a wide range of high-specification projects, including refinery development master plans (RDMP), solar power plants (PLTS), PLN infrastructure projects, geothermal developments, commercial buildings, and hospitality projects.

In April 2026, the company commissioned a 55,000-square-meter rooftop solar installation at its Cikarang manufacturing facility as part of its efforts to support lower-carbon steel production.
