HPW Metallwerk partners with KSH International to enter Indian growth market

• Exclusive License agreement for India opens the attractive Indian market for HPW’s PEEK-coated high-performance wires
• KSH International’s customer base includes more than 120 + OEM’s
• Growth market India for e-mobility: the share of electric passenger cars is expected to rise to 30 percent by 2030, while the share of electric trucks is set to increase to 70 percent

Linz, 14 Jänner 2026 – HPW Metallwerk GmbH (HPW), a manufacturer of high-performance copper wires for industrial applications, has signed an exclusive license agreement with KSH International Limited (KSH), part of the KSH Group from India. KSH International Limited has a history spanning more than 45 years and specializes in the production of Magnet Winding Wires. KSH International has products with a wide range of applications that include magnet winding wires solutions for power grids, wind energy generation, rail transport, Industrial Motors, and electromobility. KSH International achieved sales of 235 million USD in the past fiscal year ended March 31, 2025.

Under the new exclusive licensing agreement, KSH will use HPW’s innovative and patented PEEK technology to produce high-performance wires primarily used in the automotive industry for manufacturing powerful electric motors for E-mobility applications. The innovative high-performance wires from HPW can thus be utilized for KSH’s established customer base, which includes about 120 + globally operating OEMs and major corporations such as Hitachi, Siemens, Toshiba, and GE Vernova. Approximately three quarters of KSH’s total annual production capacity of 41,000 metric tons will be dedicated to the rapidly expanding Indian market.

According to current market studies, the Indian e-mobility market also offers strong growth potential. The Indian government aims to increase the share of electric vehicles by 2030 to 30 percent for passenger cars, 70 percent for trucks and buses, and 80 percent for two- and three-wheelers. In 2024, the share of electric vehicles across all categories in total new registrations was 7.4 percent. Furthermore, KSH supplies customers in more than 24 countries worldwide. Production of PEEK wires in India is set to begin in 2026. This cooperation provides HPW with access to new markets and customers, strengthening its international growth strategy.
