REPLOID receives supply order from German circular economy company “PreZero Stiftung & Co. KG”; discussions underway on deepening collaboration

WELS, Austria – May 28, 2026 – REPLOID Group AG ("REPLOID") and PreZero Stiftung & Co. KG ("PreZero") have been in discussions since the summer of 2025 regarding a potential collaboration.

PreZero is one of Europe’s leading players in the circular economy. The company develops solutions that keep resources in circulation, reduce emissions, and transform waste into measurable added value for businesses, cities, and municipalities. By collaborating with customers across all industries, PreZero helps strengthen resource sovereignty and supports decarbonization. Headquartered in Neckarsulm, PreZero is part of the Schwarz Group and employs around 30,000 people across approximately 460 locations in ten European countries.

Those discussions have now resulted in a first concrete project: PreZero has commissioned REPLOID to supply its proven ReFarmUnit technology for the Buchen site (Baden-Württemberg, Germany). The ReFarmUnit is scheduled to become operational in the first half of 2027.

Beyond the supply order, REPLOID and PreZero continue to negotiate a deeper collaboration, particularly in the processing and distribution of insect larvae.

REPLOID offers an innovative system for the industrial utilization of regional organic residues from the food industry.

The company builds and services modular and scalable insect-rearing plants for its customers – the REPLOID ReFarmUnits. In these plants, young Black Soldier Fly larvae supplied by the company receive a site-specific feed mix. This mix is developed on the basis of REPLOID’s own research and development using residual materials from the regional food value chain. After rearing, customers either use the larvae and/or their by-products themselves, or REPLOID takes them back for centralized marketing or further processing.

REPLOID sells the reared larvae either directly or, after further processing into proteins and fats, for example, to customers in the animal feed industry. From the by-products of insect rearing (insect frass), the company produces premium organic fertilizer.

With decentralized upcycling on an industrial scale, REPLOID provides an economically attractive solution within the circular economy. Food residues and unused food are utilized efficiently, helping to conserve key resources over the long term.
