swissnet Group modernizes WLAN Infrastructure at DRK-Clementinenhaus Hannover

Berg, Switzerland – 4 March 2026 – The swissnet Group (ISIN: CH0451123589 – Ticker: MLBMD), a leading provider of ICT solutions and cloud-based network infrastructures, is comprehensively modernizing the WLAN infrastructure at DRK-Clementinenhaus Hannover. The goal of the project is to reliably meet the increasing demands placed on wireless networks in clinical operations and to provide a high-performance, future-proof communications infrastructure.

As part of the project, more than 120 existing access points will be migrated. This is based on a detailed WLAN planning process conducted by swissnet’s certified Ekahau consultants to optimally align the number, placement, and type of access points with the structural and functional requirements of the hospital.

Modernization is driven by significantly increased network demands, including the expanded use of digital applications, voice services, and the integration of additional medical and mobile devices. Special attention was given to sensitive areas such as operating rooms and cardiac catheter laboratories, where extended coverage and low latency are critical.

Additionally, the Clementinenhaus is introducing an AI-supported software solution from Ruckus, supported by swissnet. This solution enables continuous analysis and optimization of the WLAN environment, supports rapid identification of network incidents, and helps to assess user impact while providing comprehensive remediation options.

The project volume, including a five-year maintenance contract, amounts to approximately 200,000 euros. With this project, the swissnet Group strengthens its position as a specialized provider of high-performance network solutions for critical healthcare infrastructures and creates further potential for long-term managed-service partnerships in this market segment.
