Aldebaran Announces Collaboration Agreement with Nuton LLC, a Rio Tinto Venture
Aldebaran Resources Inc. has entered into a collaboration agreement with Nuton LLC, a Rio Tinto Venture, to evaluate the use of Nuton's proprietary primary sulphide leaching technologies on the Altar copper-gold project in San Juan, Argentina. The agreement includes detailed mineralogical analyses and the placement of samples in columns to assess the potential impact on the project's economics. This collaboration is expected to commence in H1 2024, and offers the potential to economically unlock copper from primary sulfide resources worldwide through leaching, contributing to an increase in copper production and achieving higher copper recoveries on oxide and transitional material. -
